This is a one day course that helps workers to understand the risk associated with working in and around confined spaces. It uses simulated confined space training using a Virtual Reality (VR) unit.
WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE?
Units of study:
- Awareness of the Confined Spaces Regulations and in particular the need to avoid entry to a confined space,
- Understanding of the hazards, and the necessary precautions when working in confined spaces;
- Understanding of safe systems of work, with particular reference to permits-to-work where appropriate;
- Describe how emergencies arise, the need to follow prepared emergency arrangements, and the dangers of not doing so.

Classroom based tuition and a multiple choice question paper at end of course.
WHAT ARE THE PROGRESSION METHODS
Further training in use of BA and rescue equipment at various levels.
