A new way of learning

The nuclear industry is expected to need possibly 100,000 new employees over the next decade. NCfN's high-level nuclear curriculum, range of qualifications and progression routes to jobs, underpin this predicted growth.

Our approach to training and teaching delivery is hands-on and innovative. Practical experience helps employees develop the high standards of human performance that are of such critical importance in the nuclear sector, and our virtual reality simulators replicate the nuclear environment, meaning learners gain real-world experience, working on a series of live projects, in a safe way.

The Southern Hub's two-way flow rig will use physical, virtual and augmented reality technology to create a learning environment that replicates the licenced nuclear workplace as closely as possible, enabling specialist technical operations and industry behaviours to be trialled, rehearsed and perfected in a safe and risk-free setting, creating a highly-trained, professional, technical workforce for the Nuclear sector.
